How WarMap Live works
WarMap Live is a free real-time map of armed incidents reported by the press. Every five minutes it reads 32 public news feeds, and a language model extracts the incidents that name a specific place — a drone strike, a missile attack, shelling, an air-defence engagement — and plots them.
Every pin links to the original report. Nothing here is original journalism: this is an index of what news organisations have published, arranged on a map so patterns are visible at a glance.
It is not verified intelligence and not a warning system. Locations are estimated by a model from the wording of an article and can be wrong. Reports arrive minutes to hours after the event. Never rely on this map for your safety.
