Every five minutes WarMap Live reads public news feeds, extracts the incidents that name a specific place, and plots them. The map defaults to the last hour, and can be widened to six hours, a day or a week.
WarMap Live reads 23 free public news RSS feeds every five minutes — Al Jazeera, BBC, The Guardian, France 24, Deutsche Welle, Euronews, Sky News and the UN peace and security desk, alongside regional desks covering Ukraine, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. No paid data sources and no API keys are involved.
An AI model reads each report, extracts the incidents that name a specific place, works out what kind of event occurred and where on Earth it happened, and plots it. The whole process runs unattended. The model is never allowed to supply a source, an outlet or a timestamp — those are copied from the original article.
An arc is drawn from attacker to target only when the source article names who carried out the strike. Where no attacker is named, no line is shown. The origin is an attribution made by the reporting, not an observed launch site.
This is an aggregator of news coverage, not a verified intelligence source. Locations are estimated, some feeds are state-controlled, and reports can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Every marker links back to the article it came from — check the source before relying on anything here.
